A Team of Special Cell SR led by Insp. Pawan Kumar supervised by ACP Ved Parkash has arrested a  notorious absconding rewardee mewati criminal namely Sahid (30 Years) s/o Ramjan r/o VPO Umra, PS Nagina, Distt. Nooh, Haryana.  He was arrested from Village Medabaas, Alwar, Rajasthan on 07.03.2024 by the team. Accused was absconding in case FIR No 508/2023 PS Mayur Vihar, Delhi, where accused Sahid along with his associates had robbed a truck loaded with Areca Nuts of a cost about 75 Lakhs.  Accused was declared Proclaimed Offender  by Court in above mentioned case. Arrested Sahid s/o Ramjan was having a reward of Rs 50,000/- from Delhi Police for any information leading to his arrest in above case.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION

         Another accused involved in the present case namely  Tarsem was arrested  by Special Cell/SR on 02.03.2024 and informers were deployed to gather information about other absconding accused persons. Information was made about movements of accused Sahid, that after the arrest of co-accused Tarsem, Sahid is frequently changing his hideouts. On 07.03.2024 a specific information was received by the team of Insp. Pawan Kumar that accused Sahid is hiding himself somewhere in the area of Alwar, Rajasthan. Swift action was taken on the above said information and immediately one team lead by SI Sumit was sent to Alwar, Rajasthan, where accused Sahid was finally nabbed on 07.03.2024.

Brief facts of the above theft case are that on 17.10.2023, one transporter namely Amarjeet Singh r/o Paschim Vihar, Delhi complained that on 13.10.2023 his truck driver (Tarsem) had departed from  Shivmoga, Karnataka with his truck (bearing No RJ-14GH-8999) loaded with Areca Nuts of a cost about 75 Lakhs. The goods in the truck were meant to be delivered in the area of Nangli, Delhi. But Sahid along with his associates robbed the truck loaded with Areca Nuts near the chill village Delhi in conspiracy with truck driver Tarsem. A case in this regard was registered at PS Mayur Vihar, Delhi.

A reward of Rs. 50 thousand was declared on the information leading to arrest of Sahid  and his associates by Delhi Police in the above case.

Background & Criminal History

         Sahid is an active member of Mewati based interstate Robber/Burglars.  Sahid came in contact with Mewati gang through his associate Kayyum. Kayyum was previously involved in a number of cases of robbery/burglary.
