BCLS TRAINING IN GIMS, GREATER NOIDA

Today, on 21 sep2023, BCLS course was conducted in GIMS, Greater Noida by Department of Anaesthesiology for Intern students in coordination with IRCF(Indian Resucsitation Council Federation).

 GIMS Greater Noida has been recognized and established as an IRCF recognized CRTC Centre. The IRCF (Indian Resuscitation Council Federation) is an initiative by Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists to promote accurate and scientific resuscitation training & guidelines. In the absence of data from the Indian population, the extrapolation has been made from international data, discussed with Indian experts and modified accordingly to ensure their applicability in India.

 The cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guideline of BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)   for management of the patient with cardiopulmonary arrest in adults provides an algorithmic step-wise approach for optimal outcome of the patient inside the hospital by trained medics and paramedics.

The course was inaugurated by Director, GIMS, Brig. Dr. Rakesh Gupta.

 The faculty involved were Dr. Nazia Nazir, Dr. Savita Gupta, Dr. Anupriya Saxena. Hands on training was imparted by Dr. Shoraj and Dr. Sushma.

 GIMS is involved in regular trainings of paramedics, doctors, and general population. The Centre aims to impart high quality training and teaching to the trainees in the interest of the society.

The session is ended with post test and feedback from the students.
